AAT Access Award in Accounting Software – Level 1

Starting on 10 January 2020 at our Strand House centre this 10 week course will give you the perfect introduction into Accounting Software and get you on your way to working in the world of finance. 

The course will teach you how to set up general ledger accounts and record bank and cash transactions from a variety of documents, including bank statements. You will be shown how to recognise potential risks to accounting software security and how to protect accounting software against threats and produce a variety of reports such as trail balance and an audit trail.

After doing this course you can progress on to the AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting – Level 2

City & Guilds Award in Principles of Customer Service Level 1

Starting on 11 January 2020 at our Central Croydon centre this 10 week course will give you a fantastic grounding in the principles of Customer Service and how to deliver an excellent experience to customers in any setting.  

People often underestimate the technical skills involved in a customer service role, from the ability to turn a negative customer experience into a positive one to correctly using the telephone as a business tool this course will set you on the right path to an exciting and rewarding career in this ever growing sector.

Certificate in Administration (Business Professional) Level 1

Starting on 14 January 2020 at our Strand House centre this 10 week course will give you the perfect introduction into the principles of administrative practice. You will gain the essential knowledge, understanding and skills that would be needed by a new employee in an administrative role. 

* Prepare routine business documents including e-mails, memoranda, messages, facsimiles and business letters
* Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with customers, both within and external to the organisation.
* Understand the activities undertaken in business organisations.
* Understand of the role of the administrator in business organisations.
* Undertake and complete routine tasks in an office environment.
* Understand the importance of organisational skills and personal presentation.
* Use a computer system software to create and know how to use a variety of diary systems.
 
This qualification has been designed to provide the basic knowledge and understanding required to enable progression directly into administrative job roles or the Level 2 Certificate in Administration (Business Professional).

Certificate in Administration (Business Professional) – Level 2

Starting on 7 January 2020 at our Central Croydon centre this 12 week course is designed to develop your existing knowledge and understanding required to enable progression directly into administrative job roles where you will be expected to work autonomously in carrying out administrative tasks.

* Prepare routine business documents including agendas, reports, notices, and leaflets
* Understand how administrative teams operate
* Understand legislation affecting the work of administrators
* Understand health and safety issues that affect the work of administrators
* Undertake and complete routine tasks in an office environment
* Demonstrate an understanding of the purpose of procedures and recognise the benefits of following procedures for both the organisation and the individual
* Know how to hand mail effectively and securely
* Communicate with customers effectively

AAT Access Award in Bookkeeping Level 1

Starting on 14 January 2020 at our Strand House centre this 10 week course offers an essential introduction to the skills needed in single entry bookkeeping and is suitable for those who wish to acquire basic bookkeeping skills and those who are preparing to enter a bookkeeping job role.

Understand the role of the bookkeeper

– Duties and responsibilities of a bookkeeper
– Ways to keep information confidential
– Importance of working with accuracy

Understand financial transactions

– The buying and selling process
– Basic bookkeeping terminology
– The dual effect of transactions

Process customer and supplier transactions

– Prepare sales invoices and credit notes
– Check purchases invoices and credit notes
– Record sales and purchase invoices and credit notes
– Identify outstanding amounts for individual customers and suppliers

Process receipts and payments

– Enter receipts and payments into a cash book
– Use the cash book to calculate closing amounts
– Check the closing amount of cash in the bank against bank statement

 
After doing this course you can progress to do the AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounts (level 2) or AAT Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping.
