About this qualification

This qualification provides professional development opportunities for those working in the school and college workforce by embracing your wealth of experience, proven knowledge and skills in a teaching and learning environment.

It will challenge you in both daily practice and theoretical understanding and you will acquire and use skills of leadership, mentoring, coaching and reflection through work-based learning opportunities.

As an Advanced Practitioner you will use crucial leadership skills to mentor others across various roles and responsibilities in the school or college workforce.

Who is the course for?

This a work based qualification and you must be employed in a school or a college supporting teaching, learning and assessment.

What does the course involve?

• On the job assessments
• Class sessions with tutor input
• Small group tasks and presentations
• 1-1 meetings with your tutor
• Evidence from work environment
• Portfolio of evidence
• Project

There are no exams on this course, instead you will produce a portfolio of evidence for your knowledge and future practice.
