Croydon Council wants to hear from you to help shape the future of the borough.
Everyone can have their say on what Croydon can do to make the most of current and future technological opportunities as part of a digital strategy being finalised later this year.
Responses can be submitted by everyone from residents to visitors, and children to those working in the tech sector.
There are three broad categories but feedback on any part of Croydon’s digital environment is welcomed.
The three categories are:
- Digital services –Where can we improve the digital services we offer residents, businesses and communities and how do you want to contact us?
- Digital borough – How can we help Croydon thrive, broadband coverage, supporting people’s digital skills, helping our tech sector, enhancing public spaces and improving quality of life?
- Digital council – How should the council make better use of technology and data to become a more efficient, effective and innovative organisation?
Initial feedback over the coming weeks will be drawn together into a draft digital strategy that will go out for another round of public engagement in May.
“Making sure Croydon is well placed to capitalise on technological opportunities will help the borough achieve all its ambitions going forward.
“The way residents contact the council is changing and digital is an important way for people to reach us and for us to reach them with information and advice. We want to make sure it is easy for people to contact us any way they want to.
“Please, take the time to have your say, to tell us what works and what we could improve. This is your chance to help shape the borough’s technological future so please do get involved.”
Councillor Simon Hall, cabinet member for finance and resources
